I focus on gut health as a foundational aspect of overall well-being, a concept central to what I call the ‘Earth School’ approach. By addressing digestion and its connection to emotional health and nervous system regulation, I can help create balance in both physical and mental aspects of health.

I’m trained in five channels of acupuncture, which means I can address issues on multiple levels. These channels include sinews, luos, primary, divergent, and eight extraordinary vessels. This approach allows me to tailor treatments to everything from superficial ailments to deeper, genetic conditions.
Additionally, pulse diagnosis is central to my care. I strive to find the balance of listening to a patient’s story through their words and tone, but also their pulse and facial diagnosis.

During your first session, I’ll spend about 45 minutes talking with you to understand your health history, symptoms, and goals. We’ll then proceed with a 45-minute acupuncture treatment tailored to your specific needs. I use pulse diagnosis to guide and adjust the treatment, ensuring it addresses the root causes of your concerns.
You may receive a physical exam including abdominal palpation and tongue diagnosis, needling of acupuncture points, essential oil application, tuning forks over needles or points, moxibustion, bodywork (cupping and gua sha), and herbal/dietary therapy recommendations.
-
Telehealth appointments are conducted via video call, allowing you to receive personalized care from the comfort of your home. We’ll discuss your symptoms, lifestyle, and wellness goals, and I’ll create a custom plan that includes dietary advice, herbal recommendations, and other protocols as needed.
After the call, you’ll receive a detailed treatment plan via email that will describe the location of acupuncture points that you may need to access for essential oil applications and daily routines of self care as well as recommendations for internal medical approaches.

Pulse diagnosis is a traditional Chinese diagnostic tool that involves feeling the pulse at different points on your wrist. It provides insights into the state of your organs, energy and fluid levels, and overall health. I check the pulse throughout the session to monitor progress and adjust treatment accordingly, ensuring a personalized approach to your care.

Herbal formulas work alongside acupuncture to address both root and branch issues. While acupuncture helps regulate the body’s energy and release blockages, herbs act as natural medicines that support internal balance and healing. They can be used to manage stress, improve digestion, boost immunity, and more.

Comfort is key! Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows easy access to areas like your arms, legs, and abdomen. You may also be asked to remove clothing and lay under a massage sheet to provide access if clothing is too restricted, or bring a change of clothes (loose shorts, tank top).

Most patients find acupuncture to be relaxing and relatively painless. You may feel a achy sensation or tingling when the needles are inserted, but it usually fades quickly. Many people report feeling calm, relaxed, and even energized after their sessions.
I often tell patients to count to 10 if they feel a new sensation and it typically resolves within the timeframe.

The number of sessions varies depending on your condition, symptoms, and overall wellness goals. For acute issues, you might see improvement after just a few sessions. Chronic conditions often require more regular visits over an extended period to achieve long-lasting results. During your initial consultation, I’ll recommend a treatment plan tailored to your needs.

Cosmetic acupuncture combines the benefits of traditional acupuncture with techniques focused on skin health and appearance. While traditional acupuncture addresses overall wellness, cosmetic treatments target areas like the face to improve complexion, reduce fine lines, and promote skin elasticity. It’s a natural, holistic approach to beauty without the need for invasive procedures.

Yes! Microneedling can be added on after any in-person treatment, enhancing skin rejuvenation and promoting collagen production. It’s a great complement to acupuncture for those looking to address both wellness and aesthetic concerns in one visit.

Your safety and comfort are my top priorities. I follow strict hygiene protocols, including sterilized equipment, clean linens, and a sanitized treatment space.
All needles are single use sterilized stainless steel and sent to biohazard removal following treatments.

Yes, I work with children, especially those who struggle with digestion or sensory integration. My gentle approach helps them feel more comfortable, and parents often report that their children are more balanced and at ease both at home and in school.
As a parent of a restrictive eater, I dedicate time and energy into discovering what modality or medicine will fit into your lifestyle and patient compliance.

Chinese medicine speaks a different language. We talk about yin, yang, earth, metal, water, wood, fire, and qi, to name a few. Each of these words encompass a wide meaning to include physiology, environmental/natural elements, and emotional qualities. This has been labeled by some as the mind - body - soul connection.
Many modern acupuncturists have realized that in our current society, most patients are injured by an overabundance of yang energy. This means movement, hustling, overwork/exercise/planning - just doing! Yin in the anecdote - the stillness, the receiving, the supple fluids and nourishment our bodies need from an empty gas tank. From the get-go, I want my patients to learn that this medicine is often about stopping and simplifying and allowing yourself to receive and restore when in the office space.
Earth represents an anchor and a center. Earth has a rotation that is predictable and necessary for survival. At its core, acupuncture is about rewiring directionality and vectors of qi and fluids. With this restoration, we see many symptoms reduce effortlessly and digestion of nutrients, environmental factors, and life lessons is improved.
